YOUNG AT HEART

The name, YOUNG AT HEART, was chosen to identify Mount Carmel's Senior Ministry. Age is not our principle concern.  We believe that most people are attracted to classes., events and certain activities that just seem to resonate with their own personal backgrounds, interests and needs.  Our seniors interact with each other socially and within the context of multiple ministries of our church, such as angel bags, mission trips, church builders, choir, VBS, visiting the sick, nursery workers, Sunday morning greeters and many more ministries.

Young At Heart meets on the third Thursday of each month except in December when the meetiing is on the second Thursday.  The meetings/luncheons and day trips focus on fellowship, fun, special speakers and ministering to each other. Newsletters, sign-up sheets for meetings, photo albums, and announcements can be seen on the Senior's table in the Mountain View Lobby.

Seniors are vital to the outreach and ministry of Mount Carmel.  We rejoice in the presence of seniors who visit with us in worship on Sunday mornings, travel with us on the day trips, or attend the special luncheons. Our church truly values the productivity and spiritual development of senior adults and welcomes everyone to join us.
